Menkaure's Pyramid

Your explorations have brought you to the complex that surrounds Menkaure's Pyramid.
Sights to See
 The Pyramid of Menkaure is the smallest of the three pyramids of Giza and shows the beginning of the decline in workmanship in the Egyptian pyramid building.

As you explore the surrounding desert, be careful not to fall into deep pits and rifts in the desert sands. Some are the result of excavation, but most are a result of a recent rash of unusual seismic activity.
Allies
 As you explore the complex, you will encounter a couple of Egyptian soldiers. If you don't show yourself to be an enemy, they're harmless enough. Unfortunately, they aren't the most helpful allies either.
Local Fauna
 Scattered around the desert are giant scorpions and giant scarabs. Both are extremely dangerous, so be alert.
Souvenirs
There aren't any artifacts to be found out here in the desert, but there are a couple of keys that you'll need to obtain before you leave.
Hidden Treasures
 There is one secret, which you will miss if you are in a rush get inside the pyramid.
Hazards
 The greatest hazards are the bugs and the deep pits. If you have an itchy trigger finger and are careful around the pits, you'll do fine.
