Citadel
Items: 24
Kills: 6
Welcome to one of Cairo's most popular tourist destinations, the Citadel.
Sights to See
The Citadel, originally called the "Dome of the Wind", was constructed in 810 AD by Hatim Ibn Hartama as a pavilion, from which governers could view the city of Cairo.

When it was realized that the citadel pavilion had great strategic value, it was fortified. In fact each invader built additional fortifications, including the British.

The Citadel is not a single building, but is actually comprised of three different sections, with their own towers and gates. Because much of the construction took place during the medieval period, the Citadel has quite a medieval character.

If you were a recently reincarnated Egyptian god, and you're looking for a good place to hole up, the Citadel would probably be your first choice too.
Citadel Guards
Von Croy has posted his mercenaries throughout the Citadel, however he has used his newly acquired powers to raise a few dead crusaders to guard himself.
Souvenirs
The most important thing you'll find in the citadel is an old torch.
Hidden Treasures
There are two secrets to be found in the Citadel. The first can be found if you're thorough in your explorations. The second one will be easy to miss unless you go out of your way to look for trouble.
Hazards
There are quite a few mercenaries and opportunities to fall to your death or drown in the Citadel. All in all, it's not all that bad. The toughest part will probably come when the mercenaries team up. Although the undead crusaders are particularly scary, they're slow enough not to be too much troubhle.
