Drive forward into the trenches until Lara arrives at 'T' intersection
and dismount the motorcycle. Turn and face east and head toward the
palm tree. Turn left and head up the stairs. Part way down the
street, turn left and vault up onto a ledge. Run forward, turn left, and continue forward until Lara drops into a small pit. Pick up a large Medi Pack (1). Reverse roll, vault up out of the pit, and run forward. Turn right and run across the street. Take a running jump onto the ledge across the street and turn right. Run forward and stop before Lara drops into the pit. Jump up and grab the handle of the trapdoor above. Lara will jerk the trapdoor open. Turn left, step forward and pull up into a crouched position. Crawl forward until Lara reaches the end of the crawlspace and turn around. Have Lara lower herself out of the crawlspace. Turn around and pick up a quiver of poison crossbow bolts (2). Turn right, run forward and pull up into the crawlspace ahead. Crawl forward and turn right. Crawl forward until the crawlspace is too narrow to continue. Draw pistols, open fire while rotating to the left to blow apart a concrete ornament. Have Lara holster her pistols, and rotate Lara to the right. Crawl backwards and have Lara lower herself over the edge. Shimmy to the left until Lara rounds two corners. Release when Lara is above a ledge. Turn right, and run forward until Lara reaches the archway. Take a running jump and grab the bars overhead to avoid drawing a swarm of locusts. Swing across the courtyard and release when Lara reaches the opposite building. Draw weapons, run forward, and turn left to kill a sniper (1) that is lurking on the rooftop ledge. Pick up a small Medi Pack (3) that he drops and face west. Head to the western side of this building and turn right. Use the roof key to open the door and step through the doorway to the edge of the ledge. Side step to the left until Lara is lined up with a crawlspace on the opposite building. Take a running jump across the street and grab the crawlspace, being careful not hit the balcony. Shimmy to the left until Lara can pull up into a small tunnel. Run forward and turn right. Continue to the end of the tunnel and vault up onto the ledge at the end of the tunnel. Immediately crouch down and rotate Lara to the left. Draw pistols and wait for a sniper (2), that might have been taking shots at Lara as she was crossing the streets below, to appear. Shoot at him and duck down below the opening when he attempts to take aim on Lara. After the sniper is dead, either use the revolver or crossbow to take aim on the red button of an electrical box across the roof from where Lara is standing. Alternatively, Lara can ready pistols and shoot blindly until she eventually hits the button. It is possible to tell that the box has been hit when it begins to smoke. If Lara has difficulty telling whether she's hit it with pistols, she can ready the binoculars and occasionally look at it. Damaging the electrical box will open a doorway elsewhere. Turn left and run forward to drop to the lower part of the tunnel. Run forward to the end of the tunnel and turn left. Step forward until Lara is at the edge of the tunnel. Turn around and safety drop to the ground. Mount the motorcycle and drive it to the west. Angle the motorcycle to the left and further down the street, Lara will find two sets of stairs. Drive up the stairs on the left and run down a sniper (3). Angle the motorcycle to the left and continue down the passage until Lara finds another sniper (4). Run down the second sniper in the low passage which is a dead-end. Turn the motorcycle around and drive it back out of the passage and down the stairs. Angle the motorcycle to the left and drive it up the hill back to the 'T' intersection. Turn the motorcycle around and aim the motorcycle for the stairs on the right. Accelerate the motorcycle down the hill and up the left side of the stairs. Activate the nitrous oxide feeder and accelerate the motorcycle up the sandy ramp. Lara will jump through a the large doorway, which Lara opened by shooting the electrical box earlier, and down the opposite slope. Dismount the motorcycle and climb up the ladder to exit the trenches and return to the street level. |
